The Brain that Changes Everything by Shaahin Cheyene - Review

Let me start off by saying that "The Brain That Changes Everything" by Shaahin Cheyene is a must read for all of us. The book is an easy read and very informative on many different levels. I have done my due diligence as far as research of the human brain but this book actually opened up different doors that I never have even considered to strengthen your mind. The author writes in an angle as if he is communicating with you instead of barraging you with information that might or

might not be over your head. Now let’s review the book.

This book is about how the brain can be shaped and molded regardless of your age or "intelligence" level. This book discusses the most essential supplements for your body and the physical, mental & emotional techniques to improve your brains abilities. The book starts off with a brief layout of the Brain's evolution through time. A direct quote from the book, " ...the brain isn't set in its permanent state of birth. In fact, the brain is a living organism that develops and grows throughout our lifetime". The book then moves onto how the brain can be stretched and molded through exercises and eating habits to challenge your brain to further develop itself through more connections. “The more connections, and the more complex the matrix, the greater your intelligence”. The author also takes the time for you to reflect, he says that, "Since you can apply the tips in this book, the mere act of focusing, and learning the tips is actually expanding your brain as you go along".

“The Brain that Changes Everything” also discusses the three keys, memory, focus/ concentration/ alertness & your brains processing speed. The Four Tier Approach, Diet & Nutrition, Exercise/Supplements &

Mental Exercises. In regards to nutrition, the book discusses what to include in your diet and what to remove. The Top 10 protein rich foods for both vegans and non-vegans, the importance of Omega-3 and what to look for in foods that contain this vital fatty acid. In regards to exercise, the book states that exercise can modify proteins that help keep your mind focused, improving memory, and reduce the chance of developing cognitive problems as we age.

“The Brain that Changes Everything” also gives you a run-down of "Brain Boosters" such as Alpha GPC, Vitamin B12 & Peppermint Oil among others. Stimulants such as Chocolate, Caffeine, Green & Black Teas & Guarana Extract to help with the emotional side of brain enhancement.  Last but not least, physical exercise to improve the mind and body. It also talks about changing your daily routine in order to strengthen your brain in other areas that you do not primarily focus on. For example, using your left hand instead of your right hand or vice versa in order to expand your mind to use both hands whether you are a righty or lefty.

Overall, as is said in the beginning, this book should be read by all. It really opens the mind to the endless possibilities to enhance your mind, body and soul. After reading this book, not only did I learn new things myself, but I actually started implementing the tips in my own life. I actually wrote this review left handed instead of with my right hand.
